How do we start?
When purchase your course it will be delivered to your door within 7 days. You can download your parent guide and practice papers immediately.
What is in the programme?
There are a variety of courses to choose from. The full course comes in a main study booklet with separate practice sessions and examinations. Answers are included with all materials. We recommend you follow you parent guide for optimum use.
How long does each home learning session last?
As with all other learning programmes we recommend children focusing and working at their own pace. A guideline for the main programme is one study programme should last for approximately 60 minutes.
As a parent what do I do?
Ensure you child has a comfortable and quiet place to work. Always encourage learning time to be positive with reward and praise. This applies to times when your child finds topics difficult. Take regular breaks and give support if necessary. However the courses are designed to keep children work independently.
What is the best time to work?
You can refer to your parent guide to help you with this question as all children are different and are working at difficult levels. After school and weekends are suitable times to work, always ensure you child has had appropriate breaks.
How will I know my child is making progress?
You will be able to ensure there is progress when your child completes a practice paper. These practice papers are carefully placed within the main study programme to check whether children have attained knowledge. Your Childs score will indicate levels of attainment.
What level will your child reach?
The courses are designed for your children to reach level 4 and 5 at the end of Year 6 and as the course works towards level 6 there will be attainment of some level 6 concepts. The course has had proven success with children reaching the standard of entrance tests for grammar and selective schools.
What are the delivery costs?
Delivery costs for kidshomestudy products within the UK range from £2.50 - £4.00.
